Sometimes the work/home/mom life balance goes a little bonkerz... and I fail to check YES on opportunities. I do what I can, when I can... Managing to participate and contribute to a fair portion of things in a more monetary, itemized donation type of way.
As for daytime specific commitments, most of the time I have 99 reasons I shouldn't, couldn't or can't. In the same breath, life is short and un-promised... and I don't want to miss out on ALL of those 99 wonderful memories and could-be experiences either. So I checked YES!!! YES, I will accompany my kid and YES I'm riding the bus too!! WE ARE going to the Zoo!! Decision made. Done.
Emporer Penguins, King Penguins, Macaroni, Rockhopper, Little Blue??? I dunno. Note to self: Bring encyclopedia on future field trips!! Where's Diego and that field journal APP??
I'd say the aquarium was the popular place of the day. The kiddos were racing to get to that shark tunnel!! Ooo...
I admit, it was MY favorite place too... I caught glance of these jelly fish and immediately fell into a peace trance.
Wooow. Can I have this tank to go? Would be fantastic in my living room. I'd just sit and watch!! Sooo beautiful...
I also have never been sooo close to a hummingbird, or fast enough to catch a good photo of one. They're so tiny and beautiful. We saw this one and lots of gorgeous butterflies in the butterfly pavilion.
I caught another little bird spreading its wings too!! This one was the CUTEST!
Just look at THAT Happy Face!
What a wonderful time it turned out to be too! I so love kids. I just love their genuity and innocence and OUR un-armored kind, patient, unconditional approach at experiencing/communicating/reciprocating with them. I read, held hands, washed hands, sang along, engaged them and snapped photos, etc.
