Saying "Good Morning" is definitely an OVERstatement!
...Umm yeah! NOT A HAPPY CAMPER! Actually, make that THREE campers that have not yet made it to work, nor school. [Cue Call for help.] Yes, we DO have roadside assistance!
While I was waiting for a tow to the nearest tire shop to replace this foolishness, a cop came to the rescue, a random stranger and lastly Rod. Thanks goodness! Got the kids to school with a little Panera in their bellies. Got the spare put on. Made it to the tire shop. Spent an UNHAPPY amount of cash on replacements then another few hundred on maintenance work-OMG. (Did I mention I'm quite underwhelmed and unimpressed with low profile tires? Urgh) Then, I finally made it in to work HOURS late. Pre-mentally exhausted.
After work, picked up the kiddos. Nathan wanted us to do the "bumpy ride" again because that was fun! (Oh, really? For whom?) Then they were excited to see our new tires. (Kids are funny.) They're always great and reliable for a mood boost when I need it! So, per their suggestion, we went for frozen yogurt at Orange Leaf... Yep. Instant Happiness!
...and then to BurgerStar for dinner. Yay, another SCORE!! Great food AND FREE ice cream for the kids! Talk about an "ice cream sandwich" - Frozen Yogurt to start, put a little dinner in between and pile another serving of ice cream on the end! By this time, I've half forgotten about the morning! We're all happy-go-lucky.
So we go home. I do the evening routines with the kids. Brush teeth, get clean, lather up, tuck in, story time and prayer. Ahh. Perspective. So much to STILL be thankful for! AMEN!
