Good things come in 3's: (wise men, blind mice, triplets...LOL) Here are 3 sure signs that it is officially Christmas morning in our house.
2) Cookie crumbs and chewed up carrots! [check] Looks like Santa and the reindeer dropped by!
3) My famous Biscuit Breakfast Pizza! Mmmmmmmm...
The boys don't waste ANY time on breakfast...they go straight to the goods!
This year's treasure included: Tag Books, Puzzles, Thomas & Chuggington Trains, Jessie the Cowgirl, Monster Trucks, Super Hero Capes, a Rotating Toy Microwave, Kid Tough MP3 Player and Digital Camera, etc. (There was more for these blessed little boys via their loving, generous long distant relatives!) Thank you all so much! (They're totally spoiled!)
As for the adults: I scored a very nice Dooney & Bourke purse from my MIL, a bag of Sephora "goodness" from Rod and a Sister's mani/pedi date from Drea. I'd say I made out well this year! :-) Rod got a fancy new wallet from his mom and a big box of Banana Republic|Gap clothing for work from the boys and I. (He's totally spoiled!) We got Drea a nice Kenneth Cole Pea Coat, a Juicy Couture Charm Bracelet and a [divine smelling] Demeter Fragrance! (She's totally spoiled!)
In fact, we're all just totally BLESSED! I cannot tell you the contentment I feel in my spirit when everyone around me is happy, healthy and satisfied. Including myself. - It's truly miraculous!
“There are only two ways to live your life. One is as though nothing is a miracle. The other is as though everything is a miracle.” — Albert Einstein
Those busy boys had an entire day of play planned ahead and happily had their stash transported up to the playroom. Nathan and his new camera were one! He posed his toys, sibling, Auntie and parents. His pictures were awesome too! (Makes Mommy proud!)
Some of us had more stamina than others. It didn't take long for Nick to tap out of the excitement, Nathan seemed to have enough energy to last a few days! Dad & Auntie reviled each other during the basketball games as usual... and I cranked out another successful holiday meal! Honey Maple Brown Sugar Ham, Organic Green Bean Casserole, Collards w/ smoked turkey, crock pot organic pinto beans, baked 5-cheese mac, organic jasmine rice, organic banana pudding, 7 layer salad and my favorites: Marinated and slow cooked Prime Rib and Craig's Crazy Carrot Cake Cheesecake! YUM - I could consider living on just those two things alone! Merry Merry Christmas to all!
