All "WILLies" are ILL!
It all started Saturday when I woke up with a sore throat and body aches. Next, Nick and Nathan developed cold symptoms. Runny, stuffy noses, coughing. Then came my stuffiness, headache and even more intense body aches. The diagnosis: Fluid in both my middle ears and a pretty mean sinus infection. 10 days of antibiotics and decongestants were prescribed. Which by the way, make me feel queasy and dizzy. (Side note: The nasal swab for flu testing is NOT fun.) Negative results, however.
But wait, we're not done naming illnesses yet. We took the boys to the pediatrician yesterday, both have colds (no flu) and Nathan has a nasty ear infection in the left ear. Nick's ears were clear, but he was running a low fever. By this time, Daddy is now stuffy, running and achy. Want to hear the best part? (Yea, it really gets better) Nathan's not agreeing with his antibiotics either, so here came the day full of liquid poo AND a horrendous vomiting episode in the backseat of our moving car; Immediately requiring a full removal, strip down and thorough cleaning of the car-seat, child and other household towels, etc. That was followed by many more vomiting and heaving episodes over a span of 2 hours, until the poor guy just fell asleep. We're all beat! Sleepless, sleepy, cranky, sickly. No one has energy for the next....yet, the show must go on and we parents have to suck it up for the kids. I'm SO thankful Rod was able to work locally this week and a lot from home. I don't know what I would've done alone with both kids.
...Praying for RECOVERY!
Here's poor Nathan konked out on our bed with loads of towels around "just incase"...and another of Daddy laid out with a hoodie on inside the house. (That never happens around here. He's the opposite of cold natured.)
The "showering" of the carseat and our youngest member taking a long pause on a pillow.
