These are all commands from our backseat driver, Nathan! Keeping in theme of our recent week of reviewing colors, we've been pointing out the colors of the traffic lights to Nathan during rides in the car. He knows that red means stop, green means go and he recites "slow" for yellow. He even does hand signals! A pointed finger up in the sky for "go", an open palm held out in front of him for "stop" and a highly exaggerated "sloooooooooow" for yellow. Oh, and I can't forget the "whoa" when we turn.
He's so serious about it too! Right turn on red is beyond his understanding, so today when he saw the light red and the car was still moving...boy, did I get it! "STOOOOOOOOOOOOP Mommy, STOP!" "Oh no!, RED!" He gave me the sternest look after that, as if to show that he was displeased of my "rule breaking". He never ceases to amaze me. He's highly perceptive and so detailed oriented. Just like Daddy!
